Yes. Tekvera Initiative is a registered Ugandan non-profit organisation. Donations are tax-deductible as permitted by Ugandan law. We issue acknowledgement letters for all contributions and can provide a receipt upon request.
It depends on the role. Innovation mentors typically commit 2–4 hours per month during active project cycles. Technical experts and advisors contribute on a more flexible, on-request basis. We always work around your schedule — not the other way around.
Not at all. The majority of our volunteer and mentorship engagement happens remotely via video call, messaging platforms, and shared documents. We welcome experts from anywhere in the world — your physical location is not a barrier to contributing.
The vast majority of donations go directly to programme delivery — covering training materials, workshop facilitation, community outreach, innovation prizes, and field operations. We publish annual financial reports for full transparency and are happy to discuss how specific contributions are used.
Absolutely. We offer bespoke project and programme sponsorships for organisations that want their contribution directed to a specific area — such as a student innovation competition, a community health project, or an environmental protection initiative. Contact us to discuss the options.
All donors and sponsors receive regular progress updates on the programmes and projects their support enables, plus our annual impact report. Project sponsors receive a dedicated end-of-project impact summary specific to the work they funded.
