Scaling Up Community Awareness & Action Against Plastic Pollution
A six-month community-led environmental protection project — funded by the Atlas Corps Community Impact Fund of the Hilton Prize Virtual Leadership Institute — combining environmental education, practical skills, and digital advocacy.

Increased Environmental Awareness
Hundreds of students and out-of-school youth demonstrated improved understanding of the dangers of plastic pollution and responsible waste management.

Youth Skills Development & Livelihood Creation
15 youth participants acquired practical skills in recycling and value addition, trained by Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, Entebbe.
03
Strengthened Community Partnerships
Strengthened collaboration between local council leaders, schools, community organizations, and local business owners.
